Dominant subtype. DCNH – 4 variants of the type in socionics

General characteristic of dominance: pronounced purposefulness with a predominance of terminal action over reflection. The dominant personality is obsessed with a difficult goal, which constantly "itches" in the brain, does not give rest. Driven by a strong desire, it tries to achieve the goal once, twice. It doesn't work. But the hands are not lowered. On the contrary, desire grows even more.

It includes what is sometimes called "sports anger", sometimes – "go for the principle". P is supported through E, and functional resonance occurs. Sometimes this obsession comes to fanaticism. Maximum goal achievement motivation. He tries it a third time, in a different way. There is flexibility, ingenuity (the power sensor F is connected). Getting stuck, as we can see, does not end with a stupid repetition.

The dominant-type comes in from the other side, postpones the action for a while. Sooner or later, with such concentrated energy and maneuverability, shifts begin. Supporters appear, ready to follow the leader. Satisfaction wakes up. Following the achieved result, the person wants to set new difficult goals, etc. In practical psychology, there are known techniques for materializing a goal: to do this, you need to present it clearly and palpably, regularly check the progress. So, the dominant personalities do not need to be taught, they already know it perfectly.

If we see that extroverted managerial functions P and F are expressed in the functional profile of a person, then we have the right to assume that he has a dominant subtype. As an additional function, the E – ethics of emotions acts, which gives the ability to speak and a slight tone of hysteria.

The dominant subtype formula is: PF (or FP) + E. Such people are respected, they are taken into account.

The energy of movement towards the goal, as we see, is the main resource of a bright leader. People, despite the fact that there are carriers of types – parts of a whole, but they are not in a hurry to unite in a socion. This requires special conditions, especially strong motivation.

For example, to justify teamwork, you need a particularly difficult task in a resource-constrained environment. Even animals unite in a pack in order to survive. If the conditions of the environment are favorable, everyone wants complete freedom and does not want to subordinate their actions to the collective task. The pack splits into separate groups. And if it is quite simple to survive, the society of loners dominates. But now the climate has changed catastrophically, enemies have descended or something like that, and the harsh truth of life forces us to unite.

At first, everything happens spontaneously and through self-organization, as a result of which leaders are distinguished — those who know how to manage the energy of the group. And then they become normalizing, harmonizing, and creative. And now we are on our way from quaternion to socion.
