Appearance. Type Mediator (SEI, Dumas, ISFP)
SEI draws attention to himself by the expression of his face and the proportions of his figure. However, these features are very different in the two subtypes of SEI. SEI with an enhanced ethical component is quite easy to recognize. He is distinguished by a full, rounded figure, short legs and a dancing gait, which gives the impression of a "bouncy ball" when looking at him.
The shape of SEI's face is round, without protruding sharp parts. Sometimes the nose is upturned at the end, like a "duck nose”. The eyes are also round. When he tries to explain something, his eyebrows go up. As a result, transverse wrinkles are often formed on the forehead. The mouth may be slightly curved into a nervous line. In moments of emotional conversation, when telling a story, he often gulps air like a fish.
The sensory version of SEI has an elongated face shape. He is characterized by a suddenly frozen expression on his face; this is an unexpected cruelty that appears when he wants to increase the psychological distance or to put a person in his place. The sensory subtype of SEI differs from the ethical one and has a more developed aesthetic taste. His clothes are very often characterized by neatness and a harmonious combination of colors. The SEI of the ethical subtype gives the impression of coziness, as if he has just left his apartment in comfortable, casual clothes.
The Manner of Communication. Type Mediator (SEI, Dumas, ISFP)
SEI interacts with people at a close personal distance. Usually he is sociable, charming, and friendly. He knows how to be likeable and how to gain people’s sympathy and trust. The nature of his communication is very democratic. However, despite the fact that he is outwardly soft, he can verbally and emotionally put pressure on people. His voice sometimes has a note of firmness and his face becomes stern. He is inclined to give advice about will and initiative, such as: "Don't sit on your laurels", "Work for everything you achieve", "You need to hustle", etc.
If a person does not try to connect with him, then he does not impose himself on them, usually making only one attempt. Strives to communicate only with interesting people. He can't bring himself to associate with a person he dislikes, even if it is in his best interest and furthers his cause. In such conversations, he loses all his charm and appeal and his speech becomes muted, vague, and inexpressive. Likes to collect interesting information and rumors, passing them on to others.
He cannot retell a story or repeat something several times the same way without changes or embellishments. Each time, he inserts something of himself into the story. Due to this he can seem emotional unstable. He shows an interest in tabloid magazines. He does not impose his problems on anyone. When asked about how he is doing, the answer is usually that everything is fine. He can talk for a long time, developing one topic. He talks about what he sees around him, what happened to him, and everything that gives him pleasure. The SEI doesn't like to make promises. The most common response to requests for help is: "I can't promise you anything, but I'll try," or "If I can, I'll do it." If the promise is not kept, then he apologizes until he feels that he has been forgiven.
Features of Behavior. Type Mediator (SEI, Dumas, ISFP)
The most important feature of SEI's behavior, which is easy to notice if you watch him for some time, is a craving for all sorts of pleasures. He wants to experience everything in his own life: to get as much pleasure as possible from delicious food, beautiful objects, a cozy atmosphere, and a pleasant pastime. He loves to have fun in a close circle of friends, engaging company with several jokes, innuendos, and tricks. He doesn't like to spend his time where he finds himself in the shadows.
His independent and paradoxical behavior often generates confusion and causes negative emotions in others. He may be considered a frivolous person because of this. He does not like business meetings and other boring events. He has a tendency to negotiate on an informal level. Moreover, he uses only proven, reliable connections. Very economic. He likes to take various objects in his hands to touch them, feeling their physical qualities. He likes to do repairs and other household chores.
Another important feature of behavior that allows you to determine this sociotype is the desire to stay in the middle, not to stand out either as the best or the worst. For this reason, he does not like to criticize people out loud, or interfere in disputes. He tries to stay away from his superiors and be at peace with everyone. He can only work productively for himself. In all other cases, he never overworks. He avoids strong physical exertion. He doesn't take any initiative on his own. This quality is due to his reputation as a "talented lazy person".
